Art Program

The Art Program offers participants art instruction in a safe and nurturing environment and provides the opportunity for them to discover and explore their creativity through the visual arts.  Classes focus on various mediums and are offered at introductory to advanced levels

What Do We Do In The Art Program?

The Art Program provides multi-level art experiences for participants.  Classes are offered at an introductory level for participants with little or no experience in creative expression as well as classes and learning opportunities to challenge the more experienced artists.

The curriculum is designed to focus on the participants and their personal development.  Participants have the opportunity to learn and practice various techniques, to explore what constitutes art and their personal creativity.

Classes are offered using a variety of media such as: drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media.  The instructional approach is flexible and relaxed, techniques are demonstrated and then ideas are explored with participants on an individual level.

Participants enroll in the class(es) that best meet their own interests and abilities.  An Independent Studio program is also offered for participants who are experienced artists wanting to pursue independent exploration of media and techniques.

When Does the Art Program Meet?

The Art Program meets Monday to Friday and classes are offered in nine week sessions.

Class schedules vary, call for current class schedule.
