Our Vision and Mission
Our Vision:
"Helping Each Other to Bridge the Way to Wellness"
Our Mission:
Calgary Association of Self Help is a community mental health centre that provides client centered, flexible services promoting the abilities of adults with mental illness.
Our mission is accomplished through our skill development, support counselling and social/leisure programs.
About Us
We help people with a mental illness get and stay well.
The dedicated staff and volunteers at Calgary Association of Self Help have been assisting people with a mental illness to live full lives within our community since 1973.
As Calgary’s largest and most versatile Community Mental Health Center, we provide an environment which is safe and accepting; where living, learning, working and socializing in the community becomes possible. A place where people can receive the help they need to get and stay well through the quality programs and support that we provide.
Calgarians requiring our services benefit by having access to:
- Specially designed programs where they can improve their skills and enhance their capabilities for living, working and socializing in the community
- Support services that reduce reliance on hospital or emergency services
- A safe place where they are accepted and can find companionship and friends among others who share their life’s path
- Recreation opportunities that they may not otherwise have access to on a limited budget
